Patricia A. Lobo (1978) holds a PhD in Literature and Culture (American and Hispanic American Studies), an MA in Foreign Language Education (English and Spanish), an MA in English Studies, as well as an MA in Web Design And Development. Patricia A. Lobo is a researcher at ULICES (University of Lisbon Centre for English Studies), where she integrates the American Studies research group, and at CETAPS (Centre for English, Translation and Anglo-Portuguese Studies, Nova University of Lisbon), where she integrates the Teacher Education and Applied Language Studies research group. Her areas of research include Border Studies, Chicano Studies and Foreign Language Education. She is a lecturer, teaching mainly English, Spanish and Portuguese for business purposes; she is also a linguistic, intercultural and web consultant, working alongside with companies during internationalization processes. She is presently the webmaster of the European Association for American Studies.
